Academic Biography

I have been serving in the Department of Political Science at the Kargil Campus, University of Ladakh, for the past three years. During this period, I have taught undergraduate and postgraduate courses while undertaking a wide range of academic, administrative, and research responsibilities. I have conducted examinations, supervised and evaluated M.A. dissertations, and mentored students in their academic and research work. In addition to teaching, I have organized workshops, capacity-building programmes, and outreach activities to promote academic excellence and community engagement. I have also served on several institutional committees and contributed to the academic and administrative development of the Kargil Campus. To strengthen my professional and research competencies, I have actively participated in workshops on research methodology and capacity-building programmes. I have presented research papers at national seminars on contemporary issues in political science and related disciplines. I have published research articles in internationally reputed Taylor & Francis journals, and one of my book chapters is currently under review for publication in an edited volume. I also serve as the Co-Principal Investigator (Co-PI) of an ICSSR–North Western Regional Centre (ICSSR-NWRC) sponsored research project, reflecting my commitment to advancing high-quality social science research. Through my dedication to teaching, research, academic administration, and community outreach, I strive to contribute to the advancement of higher education, research excellence, and institutional development at the University of Ladakh. My academic interests include Political Theory, Comparative Politics, Indian Political Thoughts, Indian Political System, Public Policy and Governance, Federalism, Identity Politics, Electoral Politics, Decentralisation, and Regional Studies, and I remain committed to fostering an engaging learning environment while pursuing impactful research.
