Dr. Subrat Sharma, a Scientist-F and Scientist In-Charge at the Ladakh Regional Centre, specializes in Agro-ecology, Remote Sensing, and GIS. He holds a Ph.D. in Ecology from Kumaun University, along with an M.Tech. in RS & GIS. Dr. Sharma has been actively involved in research and development at the G.B. Pant National Institute of Himalayan Environment and Sustainable Development since 2005. His expertise lies in ecology, particularly in agroecosystems and landscapes, as well as in energy and rural development. With a strong academic background and a wealth of experience, Dr. Sharma's work focuses on the ecological aspects of mountain environments, climate change, and the application of remote sensing and GIS in forestry and agriculture.
