The Department of Political Science was established in the beginning of 2021, with about 14 postgraduate students. We hope to increase the number of students as we go along.  The aim is   to train the students in the fundamentals of Political Science and to develop the analytical skills necessary to understand contemporary social and political issues. The coursework covers the entire spectrum of six sub-disciplines of Political Science including Political Theory, Indian Political Thought, International Relations, Comparative Politics and Indian Politics. The Department is going to invite distinguished visiting scholars and holds workshops and conferences. The department, aspired to be one of the premier seats of learning, will also collaborate with national and international institutions. The department has also started Ph.D. program from 2021 onwards with research scholars.
