Academic Biography

I completed my M. Phil, Phd and Post Doc research works from Jawaharlal Nehru University. Before that I completed my post Graduation and graduation degrees from university of Lucknow with excellent marks as I have been awarded a merit certificate from the same university. During my PDF research period I taught various subjects of Arabic in Centre of Arabic and African Studies, Jawaharlal Nehru University. I also taught in Zakir Husain Dehli Collage as a guest Lecturer and in American Institute for Indian Studies as a Language Instructor. Currently I am working as an assistant professor in the Department of Arabic, Kargil Campus, University of Ladakh. In this way I have more than 10 years working and teaching experience. Addition to these I have some additional qualifications and remarks in my credit like two diplomas in Arabic language and Translation, Arabic phonetics course, Computer course, more than 14 published research papers, 4 edited books, academic trainings and national and international seminars, workshops participation. etc My research work over the past 18 years has been focused on Arabic language, literature and Indo-Arabic cultural studies, as I have completed my works in this regard on three major topics. The first one is on “Development of Arabic Grammar in India in 20th Century: A Selective Study”. the second one is on “Abdul-Hai Al-firangi Mahalli his life and Contribution to Promote the Arabic Language and Islamic Sciences: An Analytical Study”. And the 3rd one is on “Arabic and Urdu Proverbs: A Comparative Study”. According to the assessments and evaluations of the supervisors and the external experts these research works are significant, comprehensive and valuable. I am also very sure that these research works are innovative and comprehensive ones. I hope that these initiatives must be taken into account by all the committee members.  Presently, along with paying teaching responsivities, I am editing some other selected Arabic books of Allamah Abdul Hai Firangi Mahalli to be published in a new shape with my healthy comments.  In future, for some years, the major area of my research works will be Arabic Studies in India with particular focus on “Arabic Manuscripts written by Ulama of Firangimahal”. In addition to these works I am trying to prepare an UG and PG integrated Arabic course for non-native Arabic students according to the NEP-2020 framework. In this regard my work is going on under the task of the department of Arabic, Kargil Campus, University of Ladakh
