Dr. Shivangi Bahadur

Dr. Shivangi Bahadur is an Assistant Professor of Anthropology at the University of Ladakh (Kargil Campus), specializing in Cultural Anthropology. She earned her Ph.D. in Cultural Anthropology from North-Eastern Hill University, Shillong, and holds gold medals in M.A. in Anthropology from University of Lucknow. Prior to her academic appointment, Dr. Bahadur served as a Senior Research Fellow at the Anthropological Survey of India (Ministry of Culture, Government of India), where she contributed to several key National Projects. Her teaching expertise spans Archaeological Anthropology, Anthropology of Tourism, Tribal India, and Gender Studies. Her research interests also focus on Applied Anthropology and policy recommendations, driven by her extensive fieldwork in three Himalayan border villages of India.
