Dr. Tanveer Hussain Bhat is an Assistant Professor of English at the University of Ladakh, India, with over four years of teaching experience in higher education. He holds a PhD and MPhil in English from Annamalai University, Tamil Nadu, an MA in English from Barkatullah Vishwavidyalaya, Bhopal, and a BEd and BA from the University of Kashmir, all earned with First Division. His doctoral research, Eternal Craving for Wholeness: A Moral-Philosophical Approach to D. H. Lawrence's Select Novels, examines the concept of human wholeness through the moral and philosophical dimensions of D. H. Lawrence's fiction, with particular emphasis on the balance between emotional, physical, and spiritual consciousness. Dr. Bhat has served as an Academic Arrangement Lecturer (equivalent to Assistant Professor) at several Government Degree Colleges in Jammu and Kashmir, including Budhal, Bijbehara, and Anantnag, before joining the University of Ladakh. In addition to his university teaching, he served as Head of the Tesla Coaching Institute, where he provided academic leadership, supervised curriculum planning, coordinated faculty development, and mentored students through innovative, outcome-oriented educational practices. His teaching and research interests encompass British Literature, Literary Theory and Criticism, Research Methodology, Academic Writing, Soft Skills, and Communication Skills. He has taught a wide range of undergraduate courses, focusing on student-centred pedagogy, critical thinking, and effective communication. His academic interests also include curriculum development, literary criticism, and interdisciplinary approaches to literature and culture. Committed to scholarly excellence, Dr. Bhat has published research papers in national and international journals, participated in academic conferences and workshops, and completed professional development programmes, including NPTEL certification courses offered by the Indian Institute of Technology Madras in Feminist Writings and Postmodernism, as well as a Faculty Induction Programme at the University of Hyderabad. He has also been honoured with the Young Researcher Award (2020) by the Institute of Scholars and serves as a reviewer for its academic journal. Through his dedication to teaching, research, academic leadership, and student mentorship, Dr. Bhat continues to contribute meaningfully to higher education by fostering intellectual growth, promoting innovative learning, and advancing the study of English literature and communication skills.
