Dr. Vinit Vishal

Dr. Vinit Vishal is a media scholar, educator, and communication researcher specializing in New Media studies, Electronic Media Production, Communication Research, and Intercultural Communication. He holds a Ph.D. in Journalism and Mass Communication from Babasaheb Bhimrao Ambedkar University, Lucknow. With a combination of academic teaching and professional media industry experience, his work integrates theoretical inquiry with practical media engagement. Dr. Vishal has over eight years of professional experience, including five years in higher education teaching and three years in the media industry. He has served as Assistant Professor in Journalism and Mass Communication at institutions such as BBD University, Lucknow, and Noida International University, where he also held the responsibility of Head of the Department for a period. Before entering academia, Dr. Vishal worked in the media industry as a Producer at the News Desk of Asian News International (ANI), New Delhi, handling transcription, translation, scripting, and news coordination. He also contributed to programme production with Gyan Vani FM Radio and Gyan Darshan (GD-1), and undertook reporting assignments for The Pioneer. Dr. Vishalβs research interests include humour in communication, media literacy, digital media practices, intercultural discourse, and development communication. His scholarly work explores the intersection of media culture, society, and communication practices, particularly in contemporary digital environments. He has published 13 research articles in international, UGC CARE-listed and peer-reviewed journals.
