Dr Zahoor Ahmad Malik

Academic Biography

Dr. Zahoor Ahmad Malik is an economist, academician, researcher, and financial advisor from Melahura, Zainapora, Shopian, Jammu & Kashmir. He holds a B.Ed., M.A. in Economics from the University of Kashmir, M.Phil. in Economics, and a Ph.D. in Economics. He was also awarded the prestigious ICSSR Doctoral Fellowship, New Delhi. With over 20 years of experience as a Financial Advisor with LIC of India, Dr. Malik has built a distinguished career in both the insurance and higher education sectors. He has served as an Assistant Professor of Economics in various universities and government degree colleges across Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh. For the past five years, he has been serving at Government Degree College (GDC) Drass. Dr. Malik has made significant academic contributions through the publication of 12 research papers in national and international journals. He has participated in five research workshops and numerous national and international conferences, where he presented his research papers. He has also successfully completed two college-level research projects. As a dedicated teacher and mentor, Dr. Malik has guided numerous students who have secured positions in various government departments, while several others have gone on to pursue higher research. His commitment to teaching, research, and professional excellence continues to contribute meaningfully to academia and society.
