Mr. Narender
Assistant ProfessorAcademic Biography
I hold a Master of Arts (M.A.) and an M.Phil. in Political Science from the University of Jammu and am currently in the final stage of submitting my Ph.D. thesis in Political Science. I have qualified the UGC-NET with Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) as well as the Jammu and Kashmir State Eligibility Test (JKSET). My core areas of academic interest include Political Theory, Political Thought, International Relations, and Foreign Policy, with a particular focus on the interface between democracy, governance, technology, and public policy. My doctoral research examines the trade-off between the right to privacy and mass surveillance in liberal democracies through a comparative study of India and the United States, exploring contemporary issues related to digital governance, constitutional rights, data protection, and democratic accountability. Alongside my research, I have been actively engaged in teaching Political Science at the undergraduate and postgraduate levels, where I have taught a range of subjects covering political theory, comparative politics, international relations, and Indian politics. I also possess considerable experience in mentoring and coaching aspirants for competitive examinations, including the UPSC Civil Services Examination and various State Public Service Commission (PSC) examinations, helping students develop conceptual clarity, analytical abilities, and answer-writing skills. My teaching philosophy emphasizes critical thinking, interdisciplinary learning, and the practical application of theoretical concepts to contemporary political developments at the national and global levels. Over the years, I have participated in academic seminars, workshops, and conferences and have remained actively engaged with emerging debates in political science and public policy. I am committed to creating an intellectually stimulating learning environment that encourages curiosity, rigorous inquiry, and informed discussion. Through my teaching and research, I aspire to contribute to the advancement of political science scholarship by addressing pressing challenges in democratic governance, international politics, and public policy while inspiring students to develop a deeper understanding of political processes and institutions in an increasingly interconnected world.
