Dept of TTM organized a guest lecture on the topic "Wildlife Tourism in Ladakh" by Founder Chairman, Wildlife Conservation and Birds Club of Ladakh, Mr. Lobzang Visuddha. Mr. Visuddha started his lecture with the commencement of tourism in Ladakh in 1974 to a detailed account on wildlife of Ladakh such as snow leopards, brown bears and birds and the areas where they are found. The guest speaker focused on the immense potential of wildlife tourism for economic development of Ladakh especially through snow leopard tourism. However, he also stressed on the need for conservation of wildlife by capping tourist arrivals and motor vehicles. Dean Academic Affairs, Prof. Deskyong Namgyal also attended the programme and elaborated in detail on different topics such as reptiles, sparrows etc. He also presented the momento to the guest.
