One day awareness Program titled “Cyber Jagrookta Divas”

University of Ladakh in collaboration with Ladakh Police (Cyber Unit), today organized one day awareness Program titled “Cyber Jagrookta Divas” to spread awareness about the ever-increasing cyber-crimes in today’s digital era. On the occasion, faculty members and students of the Leh campus took active participation in the program. The program began with formal welcome speech by Mr. Wangchuk Dorjay. Mr. Mohd Sultan Wazir, Inspector, Cyber unit, Ladakh Police and Mr. Mehdi Khan, Sub-Inspector, Cyber unit Ladakh Police presented comprehensive presentation on various facets of cyber-crimes in the digital world. He cautioned the participants about prospective cyber risks involved in Social Media platforms, Online financial transactions, etc. Mr. Mehdi Khan shared various anecdotes related to cyber-crimes in Ladakh and advised all to keep Greed, Lust and Fear under strict control in today’s materialistic world.
