The French students of the Travel and Tourism Department (TTM) and the French Certificate of the University of Ladakh, Leh Campus-Taru Thang organized “La Fête de la Francophonie” (International Francophone Day) at the Conference Hall of Leh Campus, University of Ladakh on 22nd March 2023. Prof. Neena Mehta, Dean of Rayat-Bahra University participated as the honorable Chief Guest and graced the occasion. Honorable Chief Guest, Prof. Neena Mehta emphasized the importance of foreign languages. She expressed that language is a gateway to a great many cultural, political, historical, and artistic movements from around the globe, and through languages, one can understand the contemporary world while shedding light on the past. Prof. Neena Mehta also shared that she has studied the French language for 4 years. Ms. Sophie, present Director of Alliance Française Leh, participated with her wonderful students at the Leh Campus, UoL and read a book on "Le Roi, la poule et la terrible Mademoiselle Chardon”. Thanks to her that our guest could able to taste French Cuisine along with other snacks organized by French Certificate & French TTM
