Press Note/Release Date of Event: 04-10-2023 Venue of Event: Khardung La, Leh, Ladakh Student Exchange Program: Day-3- Understanding geography cultural heritage of Ladakh. Department of Travel and Tourism Management (DTTM), University of Ladakh is hosting students and faculty members from School of Vocational Studies (SVS), Ambedkar University Delhi (AUD) under Student Exchange Program. It is an eight days residential program which involves an acclimatization walk, cultural familiarization, exposure to tourism products and resources of Ladakh, Speakers talk on tourism and final day will include presentations from the students. On 04-10-2023, it was Day-3 of the student exchange program escorted by Mr. Nawang Gyalchan, Mr. Roshan and Mr. Ghulam Mohd. The trio had a power point presentation to guest students on Tourism in Ladakh, Khardung La and Leh Palace respectively. It was a historic tour because students and faculty members took a pledge on “Travel for Life” at Khardung La (18380 Ft); which is the second highest motorable road in the world. The pledge was taken with a motive to promote responsible travel; advocated by Ministry of Tourism, Government of India. We are thankful to our Hon’ble Vice Chancellor, Prof. S. K. Mehta, University of Ladakh for this opportunity and making it a historical event as student from DTTM and SVS, AUD took pledge “Travel for Life” at second highest motorable road in the world.
