Press note Date: 29-03-2024 Place: University of Ladkah, Leh Campus Two Days Inter-Department Table Tennis Tournament 2023-24 concluded with Price Distribution ceremony at University of Ladakh, Leh Campus The Inter-Department Table Tennis Tournament at the University of Ladakh came to an exhilarating close today, featuring fierce competition among 38 teams across five categories representing various teaching departments of the University of Ladakh Leh Campus. The event showcased remarkable talent and sportsmanship from participants and garnered significant enthusiasm from both players and spectators. Winners in different Categories: 1. Men’s Singles Category: Ghulam Ali, Physical Education Department 2. Women’s Singles Category: Zehra Banoo, Forensic Science Department 3. Men’s Doubles Category: Physical Education Department 4. Women’s Doubles Category: The Forensic Science Department 5. Mixed Doubles Category: Physical Education Department The Medals and awards were distributed by the Hon’ble Vice Chancellor of the University of Ladakh, Prof. S. K Mehta, who emphasized the importance of active participation in university activities. He urged students to engage in the diverse range of opportunities provided by the university and encouraged them to part of its on-going progress and development. The event was graced by the presence of distinguished personalities including Dr. Sonam Joldan, Dean Academic Affairs, Dr. Subrat Sharma, Dean Research, Mr. Tashi, Incharge Engineer, as well as faculty members and a large contingent of enthusiastic students. The tournament was conducted under the supervision of Dr. Jigmat Dachen, Dean Students Welfare, University of Ladakh, who ensured smooth conduct and fair play throughout the event.
