The NSS Unit of Leh Campus, University of Ladakh, organized an online workshop on Daan Utsav (Joy of Giving) for NSS volunteers and students of the campus. The event, aimed at fostering the spirit of volunteerism, was held with a large number of attendees, including students, NSS volunteers, and faculty members. Mr. Amit Thanvi, Manager at NGO Bhumi (Volunteer Campaign), served as the resource person for the workshop. During his session, Mr. Thanvi emphasized the importance of giving and instilling a sense of volunteerism among the youth. He highlighted that no act of giving is insignificant, whether it involves money, time, or skills. His insights encouraged participants to actively contribute towards creating a more compassionate and giving society. The session was moderated by Dr. Punam kumari, Assistant Professor, Department of Social Work, who ensured the smooth conduct of the event. Dr. Jigmat Dachen, Dean Students Welfare, University of Ladakh, concluded the workshop by offering a formal vote of thanks, expressing gratitude to the resource person, participants, and organizers for their valuable contributions.
