A team of Language experts from Central Institute of Buddhist Studies (CIBS), Ladakh Buddhist Association (LBA), and Culture Academy of Ladakh accompanied by with Dr. Sonam Joldan, Dean Academics Affairs, University of Ladakh visited the CISIC Lab Facility at University of Ladakh on 17/02/2025 to explore the advancements in research Lab on. The purpose of the visit was to learn about the cutting-edge research at the lab and to explore potential collaborations for preserving and promoting the languages and culture of Ladakh using modern technological tools. Under the guidance of Dr. Jigmet Yangchan, Coordinator DST-PURSE/MRI, and her DST-PURSE team gave a comprehensive tour of all the instruments installed at CISIC Lab, where they were introduced to the lab’s advanced research equipment and ongoing projects. The lab team demonstrated the practical applications of all the instruments installed at CISIC Lab Facility. Dr. Urgain Dadul, in his visit stated that the visit was a fruitful and insightful experience and highlighted that Ladakh has a unique opportunity to safeguard its languages for future generations while also promoting its rich cultural identity on a global scale.
