Under the motivation and support of Prof. S. K. Mehta, Hon’ble Vice Chancellor, University of Ladakh, Department of Geology, Leh campus Taru Thang organized a lecture-cum-interactive session on “Cryosphere dynamics and socio-hydrological interactions: toward an integrated perspective of environment and development in Ladakh” delivered by Prof. Dr. Marcus Nüsser, Head of the Geography Department at the South Asia Institute, Heidelberg University, Germany and his team members Dr. Susanne Schmidt is a Senior Lecturer, Dr. Mohd Soheb, son of the soil is a Post Doctorate and Miss Dagmar Brombierstäudl research scholar at the Department of Geography, South Asia Institute, Heidelberg University, Germany. The lecture-cum-interactive session was organized under signed MoU between Department of the South Asian Institute (SAI) of Ruprecht-Karls-University Heidelberg, Germany, and the University of Ladakh during the month of October, 2022 Hon’ble Vice Chancellor, University of Ladakh inaugurated the session at 11:00 AM with formal and welcome address and introductions of the guest speakers.
