Under the ambit of India’s G20 presidency, the department of Travel and Tourism organized an innovative outreach programme called “Youth as an Ambassadors of New India” in which students from our department has present a Power Point Presentation on G20 theme to students of Govt. Boys Hr. Sec. School Leh, Govt. Girls Hr. Sec. School Leh, and Lamdon Model School Leh. The programme was attended by all the faculty and students of Travel and Tourism department. The presentation was made by the students of both the semester and presented by the students of 2nd semester. The G20 Presidency of India would be a watershed moment for India, as it seeks to contribute significantly in finding pragmatic global solutions for the well-being of all, under the theme ‘Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam’ (World is One Family). Under the theme, TTM students presented their PPT in Govt. Boys Hr. Sec. School on March 25, 2023 and in Govt. Girls Hr. Sec. School Leh and Lamdon Model School Leh on March 27, 2023. The students of TTM thoroughly discussed the G20 theme, its objectives, significance, and challenges for India. Students also elaborated on the significance of the G20 to Ladakh. Every school’s presentation concluded with an interactive discussion with the students and a question and answer session. The principal, faculty and students of all the school have actively participated in the discussion. The presentation not only introduced new ideas about the G20 to the school students, but it also created a new perspective on the G20. The goal of our department's presentations to schools was to connect the dots between the G20 government and the youth.
