Press Release 28th August 2023: The Entrepreneurship Development Cell and Department of Commerce, University of Ladakh today organized an entrepreneurship talk on the topic “Business Potential of Mushroom Cultivation in Ladakh”. On the occasion, Mr. Rinchen Angchuk, the founder of Mama Agro Products, delivered a talk on the topic. While throwing light on the prevailing business scenario he advised participants to avail the benefits offered by the Government. He emphasized that there is a shortage of mushrooms in the market and Ladakh has conducive climatic conditions for mushroom growing. Moreover, there is a good demand for mushrooms in the market. Earlier he was welcomed with khatags and memento by the faculty members of the department. Mr. Angchuk was recently awarded with Jai Kisan, Jai Jawan award by Hon’ble Lt. Governor Union Territory of Ladakh. It is pertinent to mention here that the Entrepreneurship Development Cell, University of Ladakh has started entrepreneurial talk series wherein founders of startups, eminent business people, and concerned government officials are invited to inculcate an entrepreneurial mindset among students.
