University of ladakh University of Ladakh, Leh Campus Date: 13-03-2024 Brief Report of the Virtual streaming of Hon’ble PM Address to the youth Under the leadership of the Hon'ble Vice Chancellor, University of Ladakh Prof. S K Mehta, the faculties and students of the University of Ladakh virtually attend the address of the Hon'ble PM Shree Narendra Modi during the foundation lying programme of the three units of semiconductor facilities in Gujurat and Asam. Hon'ble Vice Chancellor, Uniiversity of Ladakh Prof. S K Mehta, also joined the virtual session from his office, emphasizing the university's commitment to staying abreast of national developments and contributing to the country's technological advancements. During his address, hon’ble PM outlined his vision to position India as a leading hub for semiconductor design, manufacturing, and technological innovation. He highlighted the potential for creating vast employment opportunities for the nation's youth. The faculty and students of the University of Ladakh pledged to actively promote and contribute to the realization of the Prime Minister's vision. Prior to the Prime Minister's address, Dr. Subrat Sharma, the Dean of Research at the University of Ladakh, delivered a presentation focusing on instrumentations and the research ecosystem within the university. The presentation shed light on the university's commitment to research and innovation in alignment with the national agenda. The event concluded with closing remarks and a formal vote of thanks delivered by Dr. Jigmat Dachen, the Dean of Students Welfare.
