University of Ladakh's NSS Wing and Zero Waste Ladakh Collaborate to Celebrate "International Day of Zero Waste" University of Ladakh’s NSS Wing, in collaboration with Zero Waste Ladakh (NGO) organized an event to commemorate the "International Day of Zero Waste". The event is held on 30-03-2024 at the Leh Campus, University of Ladakh with the aimed to raise awareness about the importance and practice of zero waste in daily life. Volunteers from Zero Waste Ladakh delivered an insightful presentations on various themes related to zero waste practices. The topics covered included "Ditch Single-Use Plastic", "Begin Your Zero Waste Journey in Daily Life", and "Sustainable Period". These presentations provided valuable insights and practical tips for individuals to embrace a zero waste lifestyle. The program culminated with discussion session on fostering a zero waste campus. Students enthusiastically shared innovative and novel solutions to make the university campus more sustainable and eco-friendly. Dr. Jigmat Dachen, NSS Programme Coordinator/Dean of Students Welfare, University of Ladakh, along with other faculty members, graced the event with their presence. A large numbers of NSS volunteers and students participated in the event.
