Visit of His Eminence Palga Rinpoche to University of Ladakh,

His Eminence 8th Chokyong Palga Rinpoche visited the University of Ladakh, Leh Campus on 28th Oct, 2024, where he was warmly welcomed by Hon'ble Vice Chancellor, University of Ladakh, Prof. S.K. Mehta, who presented him with traditional khatak and a momento. In his welcome address Prof. S. K. Mehta expressed his joy over Rinpoche’s visit, emphasizing its significance for the university. His Eminence Palga Rinpoche delivered an insightful talk focusing on spirituality and religious harmony. He emphasized the need for unity among diverse faiths and the importance of compassion in everyday life. Rinpoche addressed critical social issues, specifically urging students to steer clear of drug abuse, which has become a menace in many communities. He highlighted how spirituality can serve as a guiding force in combating such challenges. The session was highly interactive, with students actively participating in a question-and-answer segment, creating a meaningful dialogue that resonated with all students.The event was moderated by Dr. Jigmat Dachen, the In￾charge of Administration at Leh Campus. Following his session, His Eminence 8th Chokyong Palga Rinpoche visited the Centralized Instrumentation Centre (CISIC), the Agriculture and Water Technology Development Hub (AWAD), and the Cyber-Physical Systems (CPS) research labs. His eminence Palga Rinpoche expressed his delight at witnessing the advanced research instruments available for students, highlighting the importance of such facilities in empowering the youth of Ladakh with cutting-edge knowledge and skills.
